SMS Limit Increased To 20 Per Day

Now Indian government on 23 August, 2012 (Thursday) exceeded the SMS limit from the present 5 to 20 with immediate effect. This is official announcement by Indian Govt.

On 18th August 2012, the Indian telecom operators had been asked by department of telecommunications to block bulk messages in India for a period of 15 days (From 18th August 2012, till 1st of September), due to which prepaid users could not send more than 5 SMSes per day & MMSes with over 20kbps could not be delivered. Still, postpaid users can send unlimited SMSes.

IAMAI has asked the govt. to do away with this limit on SMSes for mobile companies since it hampers their regular business. On the other hand, education centres also say that they are unable to inform students about the timings of their classes.

I hope all students are happy now, because they can send 20 SMS per day now. Please spread this post with your friends also.
